On the scene at Ironman TX

"The excitement is building here in The Woodlands, TX, about 20 miles north of downtown Houston. It’s a newer upscale development with lots of trees and a riverwalk feature adjacent to the race venue.

Expo starts today, will have some photos of our booth in a little while as we put on finishing touches.

In the pro field, PD athlete Tim O’Donnell will be making his Iron distance debut, but will have his work cut out for him going against Commerzbank athletes Jan Raphael and Timo Bracht.

Over on the women’s side, New Zealand standout Joanna Lawn will be looking to add to her recent string of victories and gain some valuable Kona qualifying points.

The flat and windy course will favor the strong cyclists, and no doubt the Commerzbank will be pushing KSwiss team’s cycling ace Chris Lieto. It’s all down to the run, though, to see who can throw down on the 112 mile ride and top it with a sub 2:50 marathon."
