Eco-Dry
Go Green!
Bellwether believes it is our social responsibility to lessen our impact on the environment as much as possible. That is the reason we’ve developed Eco-Dry fabric for our new product line.
Eco-Dry™ fabric is made out of polyester yarns, which in turn, are made of recycled plastic bottle flakes (called PET). Research has shown that over 90% of a single PET bottle can be recycled to polyester yarns. In addition, during the process of production, PET recycled yarns consume less energy than normal polyester yarns do. As a result, advantages of Eco-Dry include energy savings, less water waste, less air pollution and reduced landfill space.
Eco-Dry fabric is developed as a meaningful approach to environmental improvement. Even better, it is highly breathable, moisture wicking and quick to dry. All of which make Eco-Dry the perfect choice for our new Alterra collection of men’s and women’s mountain bike jerseys.
- Soft, micropoly yarns pull moisture away from skin and spread it over a larger surface to speed evaporation
- Open knit construction facilitates airflow
- Enhanced mechanical stretch provides for an unrestrictive fit
